One of my favourite things about the GLOG is the abundancy of classes made by the gretchlings and the ease of making them (especially wizards). It's super easy, barely an inconvenience!
Templates: A, B, C, D, (Δ), with abilities,
a spell/technique-list (optional),
mishaps and dooms (for magic-dice users)
I ask you all, however: what about monsters?
Gorblin (art by Kyle Ferrin)
AC: Unarmoured
Morale: Untrained
Speed: Human
Equipment: Robes, skull, hidden dagger (d6-1), Chaos ORB (pink marble)
Alignment: Mystery
Abilities (orb necessary):
A: ChrORBmatic ORB
Casting time: one whole turn.
Deals 1d20 damage of a random elemental type (1d4). Save vs gobbos to dodge.
1: fire 2: water 3: air 4: sugar (that's why the ORB is pink)
Also changes the colour of your hair and the target's hair (if you want to) :)
B: Feed the ORB
Any spell cast within sight of the ORB is absORBed. The gorblin will be able to cast it next turn.
C: ORBit the ORB!
The gorblin ascends in the air, and the target starts ORBiting the ORB. Every turn, the gorblin may add another moon (target) to its orbit for free.
D: (No one has survived a level 4 gorblin, as far as I can tell. Do any of you know of tales of the GORB master?)
Δ: My lovely orb! (cries)
Prerequisite: break the lovely orb.
Everyone in a 100 ft radius is targeted with Chromatic Orb and suffers a Doom if they are a wizard. Magic items either break or become sentient (50/50)
Here's a secret:
Players can take gorblin templates if they learn from one.
I don't know if I have defeated my earlier point, and you can just use GLOG classes as monsters, but I think it's fun the other way round, too.
